Stays abreast of changes related to the products . Develops the skill within the organisation, act as skills mentor on specific product but are proficient on multi-

products . Develop optimum solutions that meet both business and technology requirements . (Performance, Cost , sustainability, Capacity, ROI) Design Technical Solution.

Job ResponsibilitiesProblem Solving and Consulting on Network Product intergrationDocument and maintain documents relevant to specific ProductsEnsure alignment with emerging Technologies, and impact on Nedbank Technologies ( incl Review and advise on Product or Technology specific standards to ensure alignment to Nedbank environment and legislative requirements )Provide integration solutions and validate the technical component designID possible conflicts across projects and products and recommend suitable solutionsReview and advise on Product or Technology specific standards to ensure alignment to Nedbank environment and legislative requirementsTo effectively plan, in terms of cost and quality, network infrastructure and solutions according to the needs of the client enterprise, Internet Service Providers in the short, medium and long term.

To optimize the use of existing and planned capacity, manage quality and security and proactively monitor all aspects of the core IP / MPLS network

  • To ensure that all network designs are documented.Provide constant status, feedback and progress reports on new build and solution delivery and support deliverables, reporting risk, change, status, decisions required etc.
  • to stakeholders. Ensure conformance to performance parameters in all areas of planning, building and configuration of the core network.

    Assist in design of customer network solutionsDetermine and document customer network requirements.Prepare Low-level design documentation as required.

    Contribute on policies, procedures and processes.Design wireless solutions.Lab-testing of new technologies and solutions in terms of conformance, performance, interoperability and manageability.

    Provide project management for basic networking projects, including equipment specification and schedule management.Collaborate with Architecture team to improve project workflow processes and meet with customers to discuss issues related to network design and implementation.

    Assist with providing as is network design to the Architecture team Preferred Qualification and Experience.Essential Qualifications -

    NQF LevelDiploma / Degree in ITCertifications (i.e. regulatory knowledge - FICA / RE etc.) : CCIECCNAEssential CertificationsAccredited where formal expert certification on technology is available FPL or JMP or equivalentMinimum Experience LevelIT related Diploma or DegreeMinimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in IT environmentIn depth understanding of ACI, Ethernet, Routing, TCP / IP, OSI layer and network troubleshooting.

    Additionally, familiarity with concepts / protocols such as MPLS, BGP, iBGP, OSPF, Traffic Engineering, QoS, pseudo-wire, etc.

    is desirable together with experience IP Network Architecture and design, network administration, and implementation.Knowledge of ISP networks and peering methodologies.

    Knowledge of IP security techniquesUnderstanding of optical fiber characteristics and DWDM.Understanding wireless setup and support.

    Understanding of LAN and WAN.Understanding of firewalls.Understanding of quality of service Knowledge / Technical Skills / ExpertiseMinimum required experience (essential disqualifier relevant industry experience) : Supporting Skype and Lync for Business and troubleshooting call quality issues.
