Position Description :

As a Financial Assistant, you will :

On-going :

  • Capturing and processing of invoices for all the brands
  • Capturing invoices as per request from planner regarding product markdown, promotions or rebates
  • Vendor account queries
  • Drafting insurance quotes requested from stores
  • Follow up on deposits from stores and ensure that it is allocated to correct store
  • Loading of new suppliers on the SAP system
  • Confirming changes to supplier banking and other details
  • Processing and reconciling of petty cash (including capturing of local claims for employees)
  • Preparing viabilities
  • Preparing rent renewals and maintaining tracking files
  • Preparing vendor documents
  • Monthly :

  • Preparing turnover splits templates and loading targets on bluescreen and intouch
  • Raising fragrance commission invoices
  • Monthly recons (provision / accrual accounts)
  • Journal IBT cost from buffer to stores
  • Journal non branch expenses to correct accounts
  • Placing orders for and managing stationery
  • Capturing journals (correcting, reallocating and clearing of samples)
  • Maintaining store hierarchy in tracking / budget files and bluescreen
  • Assisting field and head office staff with reports
  • Budget and projections :

  • Loading of cost centres and branch expenses on BPC
  • Ensuring that the numbers loaded on BPC balance to SAP and P&L
  • Compiling budget packs for various stakeholders
  • Maintaining capex schedule
  • Detailed calculations on depreciation and rental
  • Preparing budget files
  • To be considered for the role, you need :

  • Finance Diploma / Degree
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Financial Admin
  • Intermediate to advanced excel
  • Knowledge of SAP advantageous
  • Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act
