JOB SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the SalesContracting Team Leader is to assist the Sales & Operations ManagerWholesale in delivering a smooth contracting process across the Market SalesDeployed Accounts, with focus on providing effective communication acrossbusiness channels and aligning to each individual participating hotel strategyand requirements.

The Sales Contracting Team Leader supports internal andexternal relationships with our customers during the contracting process.

The role is also required to supportthe monitoring of client performance according to contracted standards and takenecessary action to communicate / advise / assist with any challenges relating to contractingof customer rates.

The role isresponsible for the co-ordination of the contracting process alongside theSales & Operations Manager Wholesale and works collaboratively with thesales associates to maximize revenue from each contracted account.

Education andExperience

High school diploma or GED; 1-3 years’ experience in sales &marketing, reservations, guest services, front desk, management operations, orrelated professional area.

Preferred :

Analyticalknowledge and experience.

  • CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

    ContractingOperational Requirements

    Ensure all STO Rate requests are continually actioned and necessaryinformation with regards is captured & saved by the team.

    Review of customer contracting requirements and support the Market SalesAssociates with drafting of contracts and rate addendums.

    Collaborate with Revenue & Hotel Management to ensure pricing iscontracted in line with Revenue & Hotel strategies and customerrequirements.

    Review and Approval of standard new and existing Group Series rateoffers, more complex ones to be bought to the Sales & Operations ManagerWholesale attention for discussion and final approval.

  • Assist with other contracting projects or related tasks.
  • Maintain customer relationships with deployed accounts via telephone andemail.

    Maintain statistical data for contracted customers to support salesefforts.

    Preparation of statistical information for relevant trade shows orworkshops.

    Custodian of contracts and customer folders ensuring all customerrecords are up to date with the most current contracting information.

    Ensure all Sales Support Contracting archives and folders arecontinuously updated by the team.

  • Ensure good product knowledge of all participating properties.
  • Spot checks on emails being responded to and contracts being issued inorder to ensure all aspects related to this remains within brand standard.

    Assist the Sales & Operations Manager Wholesale with Hotel &Revenue approval of Annual STO Rates and the compilation therefore of AnnualSTO Contracts & Rates (South Africa & Africa)

    Assist the Sales & Operations Manager Wholesale with gathering ofrelevant wholesale information for the International Update, and compilationtherefore of the Quarterly issued International Update.

    Assist the Sales & Operations Manager Wholesale with the finalizingof Annual Brochure Participation and Contributions.
