Senior Business Development Manager Customer Loyalty

We are looking for a customer-obsessed, dynamic, self-motivated & results-driven business development manager to join our team. Is this you?

As Business Development manager you will be responsible for the current & future development of TFG’s Customer Loyalty programme (myTFGrewards).

You will be balancing customer benefits and commercial leverage while taking into account the technical solution and capabilities of the rewards system.

You will work cross-functionally and engage with senior stakeholders in the business, from teams within TFG’s 20+ retail brands, VAS, credit, ecommerce & IT.

Your key responsibilities, include, but are not limited to :

  • Facilitate strategic thinking and share the brand vision and identity with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic advantage through alliances and partnerships with both internal business & external partners
  • Support new partner on-boarding and manage the technical integration with external partners & IT teams
  • Act as business owner for myTFGrewards to ensure a constant balance of customer offering, commercial leverage and throughput in development, to maximise outputs according to set priorities.
  • Manage the development, enhancements and performance reporting measures for all myTFGrewards related activities
  • Manage the relationship with various finance teams relating to the benefits budget
  • Support trading division operations teams to drive KPIs, learning & opportunities
  • Manage myTFGrewards’ training process and change management with relevant stakeholders, in particular brand merchant, marketing & ecommerce teams, plus stores.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work across companies.

  • A Business Science Marketing / B.Com Honours Marketing Degree / or similar
  • An innovative thinker with the ability to confidently influence, persuade & implement at all levels across the business
  • Analytical individual with attention to detail & advanced problem solving skills
  • Technically & commercially competent in this industry
  • A compelling communicator with exceptional verbal, written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Detailed with exceptional organizational ability, strong business & commercial acumen
  • A proven track record of contract delivery and partner management
  • Resilience and emotional maturity
  • Minimum 5-8yrs experience in and knowledge of Rewards / loyalty program will be an advantage
  • Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
