Technical Quality Lead, TMEATate & Lyle. 3.4 - Johannesburg, Gauteng. Title : Technical Quality Lead, TMEA. Location : Kya Sands, Johannesburg.
Reports to : Supply Chain Director, TMEA. The purpose of this role is to be a key point of contact between internal and external customers for all quality and food safety related queries and to proactively engage with the Commercial team (SI / FS Sales, Product Management), ATS and Quality Team as required to successfully resolve quality roadblocks while providing quality and food safety support to key customers in terms of enquiries, questionnaires, portals, surveys, customer specification updates, nutritional data, religious certifications, export certifications and other information as required for all EMEA SI and SFS sites.
To develop SLA’s and metrics in collaboration with key stakeholders which are fit for purpose for standard and non-standard work and achieve SLA’s.
To work in collaboration with CSA and SAM’s to implement VIOS.. To continually develop yourself and the TQ team to ensure we have a team that is Fit for the Future.
To successfully negotiate specification changes with all key stakeholders (internal and external). To fulfil any other reasonable requests to support the business / key stakeholders.
Development of an effective and integrated high performing EMEA TQ team to deliver on agreed SLA’s for all customers.. Establishment of regular review meetings with key stakeholders to identify and implement improvement opportunities relating to ways of workings and processes to enable a more proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Partnership teams and customers.. Continuing to present Sales / PM with spec review options and associated costs before circling back to customer.
Achievement of specific team and individual objectives. Promotes a cross functional integrated approach to achieve and deliver all SLA’s (SI and SFS).
Effective use of the EMEA TQ portal for logging, managing and tracking customer enquiries. Skills and experience required : .
Related qualification in Food Sciences. Trained to Level 4 (Advanced Standard) in Food Safety & HACCP or equivalent level of knowledge and experience (desired).
Significant experience of quality management within the food industry (at least 5 years) and robust understanding of legislation relating to the food industry.
Ability to manage change and effectively pass on the information in a concise and effective manner to ensure smooth transition and compliance.
Ability to provide concise and accurate reports in a timely manner which are easily understood by end users. Experience of working in a FMCG environment.
Diplomacy and strong interpersonal skills. Effective communicator both verbally and written.. Effective influencing and negotiating skills.
