MotionAds is the preferred advertising partner for Uber Eats delivery bikes in South Africa.

We offer advertising on the top-boxes of delivery bikes and flyers stapled to takeaway orders.

The truth is that each delivery driver is a micro-enterprise without much support. We saw this truth years before anyone else and made it our mission to build a business dedicated to the empowerment and support of these delivery micro-enterprises through :

  • additional income from 3rd party advertising;
  • access to insurance and repairs;
  • emergency AA service;
  • discounts on helmets, jackets and bike parts.
  • You’ll be joining a small team doing big things while doing good. You’ll be making an impact on people’s lives and it’ll mean something.

    This role will be instrumental in helping us grow from 100 branded bikes in 2020 to 5,000 across the country by 2023.

  • You’ll have plenty of room for growth as we scale the team, budgets and offerings to drivers - think Motion Remittance’, '
  • Motion Rewards’, Motion Insights’, Motion Mobile’, Motion Money’, Motion Bike Rentals’ and many more.

    This role is not for you if you need somebody telling you what to do and how to do it.

    You will be expected to decide what to do based on our goals and figure out how to do it in the best way. You will have guidance and support along the way with other sharp and experienced marketing minds.

    You are a self-starter and entrepreneurial. You love solving problems and creating repeatable systems to ensure they stay solved.

    You have a bias for taking action, and love getting your hands dirty with marketing campaigns and experiments.

    1) Inbound Marketing

    Business development is '1 to 1’ sales.

    Marketing is 1 to many’ sales.

    We are looking for a marketer to acquire our ideal customers and drive sales for MotionAds at scale.

  • Social Media Ads
  • Facebook, Instagram for awareness + Linkedin, Youtube for lead gen.

  • Focus on driving sales enquiries

  • Guest posts in relevant industry publications
  • Raising Business Profile
  • Featured in Press
  • Targeted micro-influencer marketing campaigns
  • Bookings on podcasts / interviews / webinars / conferences
  • Improving findability' of MotionAds online
  • Partnerships
  • Proactively seek mutually beneficial campaigns or partnerships
  • 2) Outbound Sales (Support)

  • Design sales material and collateral
  • Suggesting ABM targets
  • Assist with the website, landing pages and sales funnels
  • Assist with lead lists
  • Bike branding concept design mockups
  • Driver Marketing
  • 3) Driver Database Champion

  • Driver communication
  • Own the communication with all drivers not yet on campaigns ( pending’ drivers)
  • Monthly message to all pending drivers

  • Hire, scale and manage the team underneath you to sustainably build on the growth and amplify the short-term areas.
  • Assist with launching new Motion verticals to the drivers.

  • Design skills (Photoshop, Indesign etc) + basic video editing skills.
  • Tech whizz.
  • The boring stuff like Excel and PDFs
  • The fun stuff like Notion, Mailchimp, Webflow, Close.io CRM, Zapier, Marketing Automation, SQL (a plus.)
  • Attention to detail.
  • Project management skills.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to connect the dots and pounce on industry trends.
  • Quick learner + avid experimenter.
  • Great with implementation and execution. Your split between doing things vs strategising / thinking about things is 70 / 30.
  • Strong data and web analytics skills for reporting & measurement.
