The Prudential Division is inviting suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the abovementioned position.
The primary objective of this role is to promote a prudential regulatory environment and policy framework that will enable our member banks to continue providing profitable, responsible and environmentally sensitive services to their customers.

To forge dynamic partnerships with relevant stakeholders to influence an environment in which banks can do profitable business in a way that promotes international best practice and sustainable socio-economic growth and development.
To embrace a catalytic role in the industry, through which our members are able to continually transform and innovate the business of banking.
To proactively drive initiatives, by researching the subject matter and developing a straw man position whilst ensuring all members expressing an interest in that initiative are consulted and have an opportunity to provide input into the industry position.
To dynamically project manage each initiative, ensuring adequate records of meetings are kept, consolidating relevant inputs into the positions of the industry, providing concise reports to senior management, and ensuring adequate feedback to all interested parties.
To function as the voice of the industry to global standard-setting authorities, policymakers, regulators, parliamentarians, media and other interested parties requiring in-depth knowledge of each initiative and industry position.
To attend external meetings, conferences and seminars by either promoting the work of Our client or participating in the latest thinking that may inform the industry position.
Competencies, Qualification and Experience :
Have appropriate banking experience in risk management (credit, liquidity, market, operational) or treasury management (capital and balance sheet) or financial markets (debt- bonds and equity, currency, money and derivatives).
Have an understanding of international regulations set by either the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision or the International Organisation of Securities Commissions.
Have worked with domestic banking legislation.
Have the ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
Have the resolve to ensure deadlines are met, whilst retaining a professional demeanor.
Have a range of interpersonal skills that enable the incumbent to engage with a broad spectrum of senior personnel both within the industry and externally.
Have the ability to strategically position the industry within a complex environment of global and domestic political and socio-economic imperatives.
Have a passion for banking and want to influence the regulatory framework for banking and the broader financial sector.
Having an appropriate degree from a recognized university will be advantageous.
