The Role :

Psychometrist and Recruitment Consultant

Permanent Position

The position of the Psychometrist is responsible for delivering of all recruitment for the Contact Centre Academy related to attraction, selection, hiring and on-boarding of talent for Learnership programmes to ensure alignment with client requirements and Contact Centre Academy deliverables.

In this role you are required to deliver professional and ethical service of psychometric assessments by conducting organisation assessments and providing reports on the outcomes of the assessments.

The Psychometrist ensures that the talent practices and objectives are met in that they will provide an employee-oriented high performance culture that emphasises the Altron values as well as productivity, quality and empowerment.

Job Description

  • Assist to build strategies for the Contact Centre Academy by attracting and recruiting qualified and talented candidates
  • Administer, score and provide feedback to candidates and clients on psychometric assessments and make recommendations
  • Capture and maintain psychometric database for all assessments
  • Ensure all psychometric materials are filed according to policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audit on psychometric information in order to analyse trends within the unit
  • Liaise with respective psychometric service providers
  • Coach and mentor learners throughout the programme
  • CV screening and match to relevant prerequisite
  • Plan, organise and control recruitment process in terms of inviting candidates, conducting interviews, providing career guidance, etc.
  • Capturing recruitment data
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies regarding candidates with disabilities
  • Secure interviews with clients
  • Agency CV tracking
  • Give interview feedback to candidates
  • Actively facilitate the smooth execution of selection process
  • Accurate record keeping and storing of all recruitment and selection documentation.
  • Continuous maintenance of all recruitment and selection databases and all other relevant documentation.
  • Assist in the administration of disciplinary action documentation
  • Assist with offsite recruitment projects
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks when required
  • Verification of medical reports for people with disabilities
  • Skills and Experience :

    Educational Qualifications :

  • Honours Degree in Psychology or related qualification required
  • Experience in report writing integrating various assessments results
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, people and customer care skills
  • Professional Qualifications

  • Registration with HPCSA as Psychometrist (Independent Practise)
  • Be certified in different psychometric assessments
  • Years of Experience

  • At least one-year recruitment experience
  • Experience in a Learnership environment would be advantageous
  • Proven management skills
  • Knowledge of the NSDS, SAQA and the NQF
  • Knowledge and understanding of ITC industry and qualifications
