Job Specification :
To ensure a smooth and accurate running of all PPE inventories for deliveries and collections, to safeguard all assets and to ensure that all goods / products are effectively and efficiently delivered between the warehouse, suppliers and clients.
Include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities :
Strategically plan and manage the Logistics Footprint; including Warehousing, Distribution and Customer Service.
Direct, optimise and coordinate the full order cycle.
Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and end users.
Keep track of quality, stock levels, delivery times, logistics costs and efficiency.
Warehouse optimisation, inventory planning, route planning and process shipments.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
Supervise, coach and train department workforce.
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timelines targets.
Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment or frequency.
Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
Create policies and procedures for department activities.
Resolve problems concerning transportation, Logistics systems, import or exports and customer issues.
Develop risk management programmes to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
Plan and implement improvements to internal or external Logistics systems or processes.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate Logistics with business systems and processes, including sales, order management and shipping.
Manage Duties :
Interview, select and train logistic and supervisory personnel.
Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing and shipping products or materials.
Ensure that all queries and discrepancies are resolved and finalised
Plan and allocate persons to shelves for the counting of stock, coordinate and ensure compliance to all month end stock take procedures
Ensure adherence to internal controls and the implementation of company policies and procedures, e.g. Human Resources and Industrial Relations.
Confer with Departmental Heads to co-ordinate warehouse activities (production, sales and purchasing).
Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or relevant tertiary qualifications.
Minimum of 10 years experience.
Knowledge of SYSPRO.
The candidate must have a valid driver's license with his / her own reliable vehicle.
Experience in importing and exporting.
Must have the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects.
Ability to lead and manage staff.
