As a Senior Merchandise Planner, your responsibilities will include : Influencing and implementing the relevant brand’s merchandise strategyFinancial and strategic management of the various products e.
g. product planning, controlling open-to-buy, reviewing weekly & monthly figuresManagement of the range assortments and replenishmentManagement and implementation of distribution strategy e.

e. sales, stock, markdowns, gross profit, stockturn, IMUTo monitor in season trade and react accordinglyOTB management to maximise profitabilityResponsible for allocations to achieve KPI’sCommunication with stores and fieldSupplier relationship management and effective communicationCompetitive shop analytics and measured against agreed benchmarksTo apply you need to have : Proven working experience as a Senior Planner 3-5 years3 Year Tertiary institution relevant business diploma or degreeA high degree of numeracy and an analytical, detailed and strategic approach to workComputer literacy in word, excel and planning systemsStrong business acumen and merchant thinkingGood organisational and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProven, precise decision-making abilityStrong affiliation to systems, utilising them to increase productivity in line with the merchandise strategyPreference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
