Johannesburg, GautengPermanentAn international agricultural chemical company is seeking the above to ensure reporting is done accurately and timeously, perform the budgeting and forecasting as well as strategic financial modelling.

Minimum Requirements : CA (SA) with at least 3 years’ post qualification experience Must be able to demonstrate the ability to interface successfully at multiple organisational levels.

Must be computer literate in MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and Access. Must have a sound knowledge of ERP systems & Reporting Systems, as well as month end reporting processes.

Prior experience in the management of staff is preferable. Must be able to work independently and be deadline driven. Must understand the fundamentals of accounting and the treatment of various items.

Must understand transfer pricing. Must have good technical accounting knowledge. Experience on Syspro will be advantageous.

  • Responsibilities : Perform monthly consolidation and reporting submitted to group timeously and accurately; Preparation of the monthly group flash report;
  • Co-ordination of the year-end audit on a day-to-day / operational basis; Impairment testing annually; New capex evaluation as well as ongoing project analysis;
  • Capex control procedures, including verification and useful life assessment annually; Group customer margin and profitability analysis;
  • Transfer pricing evaluation and implementation in liaison with Group Tax; SARB exchange control approvals as well as annual progress reporting;
  • Quarterly review of general ledger recons. Review of company quarterly / year-end tax packs; Project management as well as critical review of annual budget process;
  • Project management as well as critical review of quarterly forecasting process; Implementation / proposal / investigation of system or new process projects across the group;
  • Strategic modelling to assess viability of various projects across the group; Due diligences for new areas / entities of operations;
  • Provision of technical accounting opinions as and when required; New standards implementation Liaison with key resources in procurement and other areas to set and monitor working capital targets in conjunction with the FD, specifically with respect to inventory.
