The Area Manager must obtain the highest turnover possible in their operational area of responsibility.
Whilst managing a number of sites the Area Manager should aim to create a co-operative environment for all staff to ensure all targets are met.
The Area Manager should work towards strong turnover growth, good productivity and realistic personnel costs whilst simultaneously controlling write off and inventory loss.
The Area Manager must also give quality training and development to, and monitor progress of, all new members of staff.
An involvement in logistics and a thorough understanding of freight industry is an absolute necessity.
