Responsible for the management of projects, involving the development and implementation of IT solutions to satisfy business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of timescales, and quality.

Responsible for holistic deployment of Logistics applications (mainly WMS) in local country IT organization. Responsible for support and operations of application services (1st Level Support) and supporting the application maintenance and delivers the service for the IT service management processes, i.

e. ensuring the smooth operation of the application. MAIN TASKS Supports the IT Demand Manager in managing the business IT interface.

Defines, documents and carries out IT projects or sub-projects alone or with a small team, actively participating in all phases.

Full responsibility for IT project. Plans and monitors the project tasks and resources, and escalates in case of deviations.

Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Agrees project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.

Provide input on and contribute to discussions about improving warehouse processing flows. Contribute towards alignment with GITML (Global IT Management : Logistics) LISSY program.

Ensures that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded.

Works in the front line with (future) users of applications. Understands business processes and translates them to the functionality in applications.

Sets configurable elements in the system to support local business process or practice. Supports the User Acceptance Tests.

Setup master-data for a country organization to ensure consideration of processes and local variants. Responsible for the documentation of functionalities.

Responsible to train the end-users, super-users and trainers of a country on the use of the applications. Carries out certain technical requirements in terms of configuration of systems and applications acc.

to business requirements. Configures software parameters, activities, system maintenance and system documentation. Carries out configuration of applications acc.

to business requests (project work). Support and maintenance of local IT Logistics services (i.e. applications and relevant hardware).

Responsible for 1st level support, and coordinates 2rd level support when needed. Proactive user support in the Workplace environment.

Coordination of the resolution of application, hardware and software problems. Creation of temporary solutions until permanent solutions can be implemented.

Awareness of service level agreement targets. Remain aware of and evaluate new technologies relevant to Logistics business, and if appropriate develop impetus for their adoption.

Support pre-sales efforts with customers, by attending customer meetings and providing technical input, while addressing customer specific concerns.

Act as an escalation path for issues reported by users, and follow up until resolved, by ensuring issues are routed to correct resolution team, either IT Dept Helpdesk, IT Business Solutions (Customer Integration EDI’s), or with vendor support teams.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree level of computer science. Practical experience in the Contract Logistics & Warehousing business. Minimum 5-

year of experience in Warehouse Management / Labor Management Systems. Minimum 2-year SAP ECC 6.0 Experience IM, MM, SD and WM modules.

Experience supporting technology solutions for end users. Basic understanding of Warehouse Strategies, Design, Systems and Processes.

Strong technical aptitude and significant experience with relational databases. Good verbal and written skills to communicate with associates and all levels of management.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in team setting. Must exhibit a strong desire to learn and grow. Ability to work long hours and weekends as dictated by business needs.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills. Must be a self-starter and be able to successfully execute initiatives with minimal guidance and accomplish the stated goals.

Preference will be given to candidates who have previous exposure to automotive JIT / JIS sequencing, and familiar with variety of barcode hardware vendors, barcode scanners and barcode printing technologies.
