Recruiting for a highly experienced *BROKER SERVICE CONSULTANTS (LIFE INSURANCE)* with extensive experience*Operations Management OPERATIONS - PRODUCTION* Oversee an operational area with guidance from senior colleagues.

Could involve responsibility for development or delivery (or both). Ensure that operational activities are consistently executed according to relevant risk controls, operational and quality standards according to approved processes.

Ensure that the overall area of responsibility of people indicators e.g. absenteeism, turnover and employee engagement results remain at a healthy level in accordance with benchmarks *Compliance GOVERNANCE AND POLICY MANAGEMENT* Ensure that all recruitment and employment is carried out in accordance to company policy and procedure and in compliance with current employment legislation.

Ensure operational processes are adhered to, both internally and externally to ensure alignment with treating Customers Fairly.

Ensure compliance, regulation and legislations is adhered to for third parties. *Project Realization of Business Benefits PROJECT AND PROGRAM MANAGEMENT* Develop and manage the delivery of a plan to evaluate and track business benefits and to identify actions needed to maximize these.

Initiate, co-ordinate and manage any assigned projects in accordance with business requirement or functional area of responsibility to ensure successful implementation of business change initiatives that will support continuous improvement.

  • Leadership and Direction PEOPLE - LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION* Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team;
  • explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals *Project Stakeholder Engagement PROJECT AND PROGRAM MANAGEMENT* Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans for projects to identify relevant stakeholders and develop positive stakeholder relationships.

    Engage with all relevant people / other departments in the business and co-ordinate relevant inputs (people, systems and processes) to achieve or improve the required results (on time and according to the relevant quality standards) *Work Scheduling and Allocation PEOPLE - LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION* Develop medium-term work schedules in order to achieve planned commitments.

  • Approve overtime or use additional resources as needed *Performance Management PEOPLE - LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION* Develop and propose own performance objectives;
  • take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization's performance management systems to improve personal performance.

    Manage and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.

  • Continuous Improvement OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY* Review existing operations across all distribution channels and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements are delivered.
  • Experience & Education* Education is the level of general education typically found in people performing a given role. Note that a specific education level is not normally a pre-requisite and should not be used to discount potential job-holders who have a lower level of education.
  • General and Managerial Experience is the number of years' work experience typically needed to succeed in a role, in terms of a persons overall work experience and their experience in a managerial role.

    Years experience is provided as a guide only and does not preclude application from those with more or less fewer years experience.

  • General Education* Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential); Required FAIS Accreditation (Advantageous); Relevant 3 year Business Management or insurance industry related degree / diploma in management (Advantageous);
  • Wealth Management Qualification (Advantageous) *General Experience* 5 or more years' experience in a decision making position, within a financial services industry (Essential) *Managerial Experience* 3 to 5 years experience in managing others and / or managing managers (Essential)*Experience & Education* Education is the level of general education typically found in people performing a given role.

    Note that a specific education level is not normally a pre-requisite and should not be used to discount potential job-holders who have a lower level of education.
