Social Media Manager - Introduction Our client, a leading Insurance Underwriter is excited to employ an exerienced Social Media Manager to join their dynamic and expanding marketing team.

  • Duties & Responsibilities The primary purpose of the role is to plan, implement and monitor the group of companies’
  • Social Media strategies in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase sales. The day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to : Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification Create, generate, edit, publish and share original and creative daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.

    Communicating with social media followers, including responding to queries in a timely manner. Create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting social media campaigns.

    Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data / metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.

    Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size Maintain corporate identity Identify opportunities for sales strategy improvement, lead generation and audience growth Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness Optimising social media channels and online reputation and performance Set specific objectives and report on ROI Engaging with influencers Any other task that may be required for the smooth running of the department.

    Desired Experience & Qualification Higher Certificate in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field. 3 or more years of social media experience including design and planning and managing content in a corporate, or agency setting.

    Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator / InDesign / Photoshop) PowerPoint Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have a thorough understanding of social media management and strategy.

    An ability to work independently. Extensive stakeholder relationship management experience Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research Good understanding of social media KPIs Familiarity with web design and publishing Excellent multitasking skills Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Team player Package &
  • Remuneration R25,000 - R30,000 CTC per month based on experience, qualification and skillset Medical Aid and Pension Fund is available On-Site Gym Interested?
