Alexander Forbes is looking Business Development Consultant that is committed, driven, results oriented advisers who are able to work on their own as well as in a team environment writing business in accordance with target laid down by Alexander Forbes Insurance (AFI).

Experince

  • 3 years experience in Financial Service Industry
  • 3 years experience in Sales (Face to face)preferably in short term insurance industry with pay slip as proof of previous commission earned
  • Excellent sales record over a number of years (minimum three)
  • Be professional at all times with prospects, clients and other AF Group staff
  • Presentation skills, both 1 : 1 and to groups
  • Ability to present professionally to Executives and Corporate Accounts
  • Qualifications

  • FAIS Compliance (Credits, DOFA)
  • Main Purpose

  • Business Development Consultant are committed, driven, results oriented advisers who are able to work on their own as well as in a team environment writing business in accordance with target laid down by Alexander Forbes Insurance (AFI).
  • Business Development Consultants advise primarily on motor and household domestic insurance
  • Business Development Consultants are also expected to introduce other specialist adviser from the Alexander Forbes Group where appropriated.
  • These include : AF Direct - Investment, pension, health care and life insurance

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Source sufficient lead generating opportunities to ensure that you can quote at least 100 prospects per month
  • Maintain and update your Lead Generation Matrix on a weekly basis
  • Once a quote is requested the consultant must arrange a one on one meeting with the client in order to conduct a proper needs analysis and offer professional advice
  • Manage the Corporate process which includes group presentations to corporate staff, one on one consultants, ensuring regular communication with staff, participation in corporate events, advertising and general relationship building
  • Ensure that you are up to date with all own product changes
  • Meet all KPI's as laid down by AFI for BDC's
  • Be compliant in all activities in accordance with regulations and standards of all insurance regulations and professional guidelines and ethics
  • Meet continuous professional development objectives as required by the industry
  • Maintain the required corporate dress code and professional appearance
