Job Description : Our client, within the manufacturing industry seeks to appoint an experienced SHERQ Admin Assistant to join their team based in Durban.

The successful candidate will be required to facilitate / accomplish daily activities to ensure Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality compliance with Legislation, standards, and company procedures.

Job Duties QMS- Inspection, calibration, and testing Facilitate the calibration and inspections of equipment and scales as per due dates on the registers.

Receiving quotes, completing purchase requisitions, and obtaining approval before advising service provider. Updating equipment and scale registers, scanning, and filing supporting information.

QMS Config Managing configuration of documentation in accordance with ISO standards. Assigning control numbers to new documents.

Placing documents into specific formats according to policy and procedure. Updating policies and procedures as and when required and updating Master Record Index.

Obtaining approval signatures prior to submission to process owner. Filing of electronic copies. QMS - Co-ordination of Internal Audits Developing, obtaining approval, and communicating internal audit annual schedule.

Reminding relevant internal auditors of upcoming audits and audits finding close-out statuses. Communicating overdue statuses to internal auditors and management.

Maintaining registers for Corrective Action Request and Deviations and Concessions Requests. Maintaining internal calibration schedule and communicating due dates to relevant departments.

Data Capture and Reports Organize / Maintain / modification of department data collection system.

  • Compiling monthly reports on progress against KPI’s. Compiling Daily reporting of SHERQ KPIs. Capturing of injury information when SHERQ officer is unavailable.
  • Generate necessary statistical reports as requested. General Follow up / track level of accomplishment of action items derived from agreed action plans between HSE and other departments.

    Liaise with stake holders within the organization to ensure timeous achievement / completion of all matters relating to company compliance on agreed legislation / procedure / risk.

    Other duties as assigned. Record, document and publish meeting minutes. Job Requirements Relevant SHERQ Qualification, NEBOSH Certificate or SAMTRAC.

    Minimum 3 years’ SHERQ experience in a manufacturing or related environment. Thorough knowledge of all legislative and regulatory requirements.

    Extremely proficient in audit methodologies and procedures. Excellent report writing skills. Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
