About the Administration Clerk position

We are seeking an Administration clerk (3month fixed-term contract) to join our accounts team at the Cape Town - Montague branch.

The role will be required to perform all delegated administration and relief reception duties as assigned.

Administration Clerk responsibilities are :

  • Scanning and Uploading of all customer & supplier information to Internal Databases
  • Filing and archiving of all customer & supplier information
  • Assisting with customer-related account queries
  • Delegated relief reception & switchboard duties
  • Purchasing of office consumables at retailers
  • Requirements are :

  • Minimum of Matric or NQF4 equivalent
  • 2yrs previous experience in a similar role (experience as an admin clerk in a small company would be an advantage)
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles advantageous
  • Well-groomed with a friendly disposition
  • Key personal attributes :

  • Computer literacy highly Computer literate and comfortable with basic technical aspects of common operating systems with Microsoft Office general excellence - solid excel working knowledge
  • Competent Professional business written and verbal communications skills. The ability to express yourself clearly and effectively within the company.
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • An ability to provide excellent customer service - Service focus by responding to Internal customers' needs by doing it right the first time.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills. Disciplined Approach by being Punctual, Strong Attendance Record, getting back to customers, suppliers, and internal staff, and returning calls.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture
  • An ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests
  • A creative outlook with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Self-motivated - Meet and exceed all that is required of you in your job.
