Source, screen and interview candidates using reliable techniques. Ensure that the necessary recruitment checks are completed and put forward short listed candidates to the respective managers for further consideration.
Place and induct successful candidates. Ensure that contracts, job descriptions, KPI’s and induction packs are signed and given to payroll timeously.
Create and implement a succession and training plan for key positions, at least 12 months prior to the requirement of the position being filled.
Ensure that long serving employees are taken on permanently as per Company policy. 2. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT : Implement reliable assessment tools (for new and existing employees) and build a performance cultur 3 TRAINING Implement a training plan and training processes in line with the Company Strategy.
The training of Retail Store Managers is critical to this role. Conduct a training needs analysis for all staff annually.
Compile a training plan inclusive of budget in January of each year for approval by Director and ensure timeous implementation of the plan.
Complete and submit a workplace skills plan and annual training report for each company within the group. Manage both internal and external training which includes statutory training.
Schedule and facilitate Skills Development committee meetings on a quarterly basis. Leverage the SETA’s offerings to receive maximum benefit of funding from the SETA and oversee the entire process.
Ensure that staff are trained on Company SOP’s. Amendments to the SOP’s must be documented and published timeously. 4. MANAGEMENT OF EMPLOYEE / S : Manage and assess employee performance (direct reports only).
Ensure that employees adhere to the company policies, rules and regulations.
