The Manager ensures efficient resourcing of sponsor projects with highly motivated and suitably developed Project Specialists and Project Data Coordinators and takes responsibility to retain and develop these professionals, while overseeing their performance and growth.
Ensures that the Project Team and client requirements are being met to the highest standards. Has responsibility to communicate departmental objectives to line reports in line with the corporate goals and to enable the line reports to meet those objectives.
The Manager is supervising Associate Managers as needed and provides work direction and mentoring.
Retain and develop a skilled, experienced and motivated team of Project Specialists and Project Data Coordinators. Ensure Training compliance and Individual Development Actions are in place as part of an Individual Development Plan and in line with business need.
Daily Management Monitor the performance, development and growth of Project Specialists and Project Data Coordinators, developing appropriate orientation / induction program, complete timely and accurate performance reviews.
Ensure direct reports meet departmental and project productivity, billability and quality metrics.
Ensure regular quarterly performance reviews with line reports.
Collect regular feedback from project stakeholders and share feedback with line reports. Support line reports, to improve their efficiency and effectiveness at prioritizing work and improving performance, evidenced by the work produced, project team feedback including client feedback, audit results and QC measures.
reward and recognize team member performance. Meet departmental staff turnover metrics. Role model change adoption and communicate changes in an open way, explaining benefits of the changes and create maximum adoption within the team.
Client Satisfaction Communicate and role model client satisfaction expectation to the line reports and provide the line reports with the resources, enabling line reports to meet the expectations.
Provide technical support as needed and ensure appropriate training of line reports. Mentor line reports in agreement with Line Manager.
Communication and relationship building Communicate department objectives in line with corporate goals and ensure understanding of how individual contributions impact the overall business results.
Role model cross functional collaboration and relationship building. Ensures an open and effective communication to build trust and rapport with line reports.
Maintain resourcing plans for directly reporting staff members; regularly review resourcing metrics (actuals, demand, sold) and complete adjustments as needed in close cooperation with the resource planner and project lead.
Mentor Associate managers in effective resource management. May play a role as regional resource point of contact for project planners.
Compliance Monitoring Monitor compliance of direct line reports with SOP's and COG’s and agreed departmental compliance metrics, take actions as needed, to solve non- compliance issues.
