Summary : The Finance Director (FD) provides both operational and programmatic support to the organisation while leading the strategic direction for the organisation’s financial management.
The FD reports directly to the Managing Director (MD) on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.
Qualifications required :
BCom Accounting + A postgraduate financial qualification + CA (SA).
Experience required :
8 years’ experience on ERP solution (preferably SAP, Oracle, Pastel, etc.);
5 years’ experience in the position of CFO or Financial Director and operating at Executive and Board levels;
Experience in Supply Chain Management, Company’s Act, SARS and Treasury Regulations;
Working experience in Corporate Governance;
Experience in report writing;

Key responsibilities :
Statutory and Other Reporting :
Prepare consolidated annual financial statements and corporate governance reports in line with various statutory, board and company requirements;
Monthly management accounts;
Quarterly compliance and other reports to stakeholders;
Financial Control and Corporate Governance;
Develop and continuously review internal controls and finance business processes;
Develop and continuously review all other company policies and procedures in relation to their financial implications;
Review the delegation of authority and make recommendations;
Oversee financial and treasury management;
Management of inter-company and transactions & inter-company accounts.
Staff Performance Management :
Ensure effective staff performance management, including staff development, career management and succession planning in conjunction with HR Committee;
Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.
