Role and Responsibilities
Generation of Sales
The Brief - gain a thorough understanding of client requirements & add value to all briefing sessions with clients to maximize return for both parties
Presentations - develop and present well considered presentations, reflecting ability to interpret the brief and meet (preferably exceed) client expectations against a specific need / strategy
Quote to Client / Purchase Order - Accountable for the generation and presentation of the QTC and then chasing POs prior to work commencing
Work Instruction - accountable for presenting clear work instructions to the Operational teams through the generation of a work ticket / job card
Client Relationships and Account Management
Complete accountability for Client Relationship through regular engagement, which includes : understanding and improving on operational expectations, Managing projects in line with the critical path, Communicating clearly on risks, Resolving daily issues in consultation with client and Managing all stakeholder expectations
Maintain great working relationships with all client contacts through effective communication and professional project management.
Monitor campaign progress on a daily basis & ensure timely feedback to clients as required
Ensure you have a thorough understand of clients brand strategies and an understanding of competitor brands & activity
Submit pro-active reports to clients highlighting potential opportunities & in so doing generate incremental business opportunities.
Ensure : Consistent tracking of actuals versus budgets, measured quarterly, No installation or freight work commences without legitimate purchase orders, In house and 3rd party costs to be managed accordingly and recovered from their client & Compliance with internal disciplines and processes, including but not limited to;
financial (PO management), field services job cards, 3rd party costs.
Understand and drive the IT and reporting objectives with clients, through training and showcasing key developments and improvements.
Effective people management- ability to guide, mentor and develop a team to maintain a high standard work proficiency and client satisfaction.
Reporting & Administration
Compile detailed briefing documentation for internal communication to the Operational team.
Compile accurate cost estimates, in line with Client agreed costing structure and ensure that they are approved prior to submitting to clients
Pro-actively identify all outstanding operational issues and resolve these timeously (before client notifying you of issues!!)
Regularly review clients and new business opportunities
Proactively challenge the status quo and applying your mind to daily challenges and looking for opportunities to consistently improve.
Taking ownership of daily tasks and approaching them from a solutions mind-set.
Qualifications & Experience
A minimum of 5-7 years related experience and computer literate
Minimum of Grade 12 with 5 years FMCG sales or marketing experience
Preferably a diploma in Sales and / Marketing or a Bachelors degree in Business, commerce or management
