Experience & Education Required :

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Relevant Technical Degree or equivalent National Diploma
  • Telecoms Sales training specifically communication systems (Like IP / MPLS / DWDM / Fibre Solutions / Microwave / Analogue Radio / DMR / TETRA / WiFi / Lte)
  • Experience :

  • Experience in technology specifically selling ICT and RF solutions in the Public Sector
  • Min 8 years experience in large scale ICT technologies Sales
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of RF and IP Solutions
  • Proven track record in developing and retaining professional client / supplier relationships
  • A team player familiar with inter-working with the various in-house technical and support teams
  • Experience in evaluating customer needs and suggesting appropriate solutions
  • Experience and compliance in operating within an ISO9001 : 20xx organisation
  • Experience in all aspects of communication technology including : IP / MPLS / DWDM / Fibre Solutions / Microwave / Analogue Radio / DMR / TETRA / WiFi / Lte.
  • Knowledge of IOT / telemetry / SCADA, Safe Smart City concepts and systems and how ICT System Integrators utilise and deploy these solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Huawei / Nokia / Cisco / Ruckus / Cambium / Motorola and Hytera range of equipment for broadband and narrow band communication solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of Public Sector with a proven track record ethically selling ICT and RF Communications Solutions in the Government, SOE, Mining and Heavy Industry sectors.
  • Awareness of Political Landscape and ability to ethically lobby at senior levels.
  • Experience at Customer Executive and Engineering Level and ability to ethically engage at these levels.
  • Excellent Presentation Skills.
  • Understanding of Various Financial models for use in unlocking large scale technology projects.
  • Understanding of the MFMA and PFMA.
  • Constructing tender responses.
  • Daily usage and management of Salesforce CRM.
  • Project management knowledge and tracking
  • Responsibility :

  • Network Cold Call and create new prospective customer base
  • Identify target markets
  • Correctly identify customers needs, through engagements at all levels, workshops and road mapping
  • Coordinate meetings with technical subject experts within the company and the customer organization
  • Ability to close business
  • Build solid relationships with customers and manage accounts, with the aim of growing the business, being the key support and trusted advisor in the link between the company and the customer
  • Able to create and present solutions to all levels using all resources available to them
  • Preparation and submission of RFP / Proposal / Tenders / Proof of concept documents, ensuring accuracy of submission solution and pricing
  • Coordination of Proof of concept / Try and buy opportunities
  • Providing regular updates to Sales Management and track wins and losses.
  • To conduct loss reviews and consolidate findings
  • Compile and submit weekly visitation plan and reviews of previous week.
  • Continuous maintenance of Salesforce; update and maintain, records of all opportunities and customer visits
  • Participate in company and group exhibitions, conferences and events
  • Entertaining customers as required
  • Knowledge :

  • Knowledge and understanding of ICT technologies and deployment methodologies
  • Knowledge and a strong command of the English language
  • Knowledge and capability in responding to Public Sector, SOE and major industry tenders
  • Knowledge and Understanding of ICT landscape and Creative Problem Solving
  • Knowledge related to corporate and government ethics principles
  • Must be highly efficient and organized, and able to handle multiple tasks with ease and professionalism
