  • The Senior Head - Finance & Operations will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of accounting, accounts receivable and payable, financial statement preparation, Controlling and financial presentations;
  • overseeing a team of people; and maintaining regulatory compliance requirements for the organization. Prepare budgets by leading, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, recommending plans and driving performance improvement through use of key performance indicators.

    This position serves as a member of the senior leadership team and directly reports to the General Manager in all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and overall risk management.

    The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience in each of the following :

  • Planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the organization, including treasury and risk management functions.
  • Directing all financial management, accounting, and treasury functions including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and monthly financial statements reporting.
  • Providing financial leadership for the Leadership Team to develop and communicate the financial strategy of the organization.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective financial systems and internal control environments.
  • Develop and oversee accounting policies and procedures to meet both current and future business models
  • Providing organizational support activities in the evaluation, development, and implementation of internal operational controls to ensure operational / transactional processing systems are properly controlled ensuring data integrity, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Responsible for developing and submitting annual operating and budget to executive management.
  • Effectively communicating financial results, forecasts, and budgets to the board and the leadership team.
  • Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required
  • Overseeing the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including organizational revenue / expense and balance sheet reports, reports to the Executive Leadership, development, and monitoring of organizational budgets.
  • Overseeing the coordination and activities of independent auditors.
  • Ensuring effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with state, local and other regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Attending board and committee meetings as well as CFO conferences.
  • Overseeing the production of monthly reports including reconciliations, variance analysis as well as financial statements and developing cash flow forecasting and maintain a long term cash forecast for use by executive management, as well as the Finance committee and Board of Directors.
  • Oversee the Cash Management function, including banking relationships.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets.
  • Providing leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of Accounting, Controlling and Financial Processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output.
  • Acts as liason with outside accountants on preparation of all tax and financial reports.
  • Develop Finance and Accounting team goals that are fully aligned with the company goals
  • Lead and coach the team to recruit and retain high caliber staff
  • Provide coaching, guidance and support, set professional development plans to assist employees to reach their full potential through the Performance Management process.
  • Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental teamwork and customer service
  • Ensure optimal deployment of resources to achieve business goals
  • Using excellent customer service skills, establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and management staff.
  • Ensure consistent service delivery in a consultative and solutions-based capacity to all levels of staff and client entities with regard to financially related plans, policies and procedures by the Finance Team.
  • Be the SPOC for any financial, commercial or controlling related matters for the internal company clients
  • Any other duties as required by the GM or Executive Leadership
  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, Mathematics or business administration, or equivalent business experience
  • Extensive knowledge of financial principles and practices
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing financial systems and procedures, as well as identifying and resolving accounting and financial issues / problems which allow an organization to operate efficiently
  • Ability to grasp short and long term priorities and develop systems, processes and policies to support the achievement of them in a cost effective manner.
  • On an ongoing basis, evaluated and prioritizes activities, focuses people resources against key business priorities
  • Experience with strategy development and implementation
  • Understanding and experience with re-engineering processes and large scale systems change
  • Strong business acumen

  • Ability to lead complex projects end to end
  • Financial management skills, including the ability to analyze data for budgeting, operations, auditing, account receivable and reserve analysis, pro forma preparation
