    After the national authority grants reimbursement, there are new challenges on the road. In this role you have the ability to enable smoother access for patients by identifying the early signs of barriers and opportunities at account payers’ level (public and private setting).

    The Account Access Value Catalyst position is a unique opportunity for you!

    This is a strategic role, owning the leadership of the brand access strategy within Roche’s portfolio to secure access to innovation at account level after reimbursement in a timely manner.

    You are an enthusiastic advocate of your role seeking innovative ways to address access at account level (public and private) in a strategic manner, by identifying opportunities and barriers within payers.

  • Your main focus will be actively engaging with internal and external stakeholders, seeking opportunities to leverage : Willingness to pay;
  • Affordability; Funding; Budget Impact and Outcomes (VBHC, Flexible Pricing Solutions, RWE, etc). For this, you will work in a collaborative environment with talented and inspiring colleagues from other areas of the company, ensuring that the objectives are aligned with customers and patient needs.

    This role may evolve and you can shape it, although currently the main areas of focus include :

  • Creating a strong matrix-working mindset and behaviors
  • Seeking a culture that embraces continuous growth and learning
  • Influencing skills and Strategic thinking
  • Securing the implementation of the Overall Strategic Access Plan that translates the product value proposition at account level
  • Co-creating solutions with external stakeholders on access and / or specific projects
  • Ensuring that public policy needs are in place to unleash access to healthcare at account level
  • Disseminating the Value Messages to payers at account level
  • Driving strategic discussions, in a matrix environment, ensuring payers voices are integrated in the brand and account strategy
  • This position sits in the Market Access & External Affairs Direction, reports to Market Access & External Affairs Director

    Who You Are

    You are someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit, innovative and growth mindset and wants to have an impact on access to medicines for patients to achieve better outcomes in a timely manner.

    For this position, you bring the following :

  • Degree in pharmaceutical sciences or degree in other areas of life sciences or health, economy, business administration, or health economics with relevant experience in access
  • Deep understanding of the hospital ecosystem : stakeholders, medicines approval pathway, funding models either in public and private setting and solid knowledge on HTA framework
  • Relevant experience working on Access related topics at Hospital level and establishing relevant relationships with key decision makers
  • Knowledge of Value-Based Healthcare / Outcomes Research / Risk Sharing Agreements / Hospital Funding
  • Entrepreneurial and growth mindset that adds value to the business
  • Strong strategic, creative and critical thinking
  • Strong Communication, Inspiring and Negotiation Skills
  • Ability to operate successfully in a matrix environment with shared accountability and responsibilities
  • Mindset that focuses on continuous improvement towards bringing better outcomes to more patients faster
  • Fluency in written and spoken Portuguese and English
