A well-known international manufacturing company within the agrochemical industry requires the above to be responsible for the realisation of the seed production process in regards to commercial and / or basic seeds in a designated area as well as for the realisation of the Quantity, Quality, Timing and (purchase) Price (QQTP) targets within a designated area.
Minimum requirements for the role :
A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, preferably BSc Soil Science or Plant Pathology or similar is essential.
Willing to look at a graduate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Must be strong in problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Operating within the SAF Seed Production Team and maintaining a network including Seed Production Managers (SPM) and Employees Multiplication Order Management (MOM).
Deciding on the grower choice within the framework of the company’s global vendor strategy and on the grower plan based on historical performance and base yield planning parameters.
Instructing and monitoring grower on a pro-active manner on a regular basis.
Organising regular and pro-active communication with growers and regular reporting on running cost developments and hiring expenses of temporary workers.
Analysing grower and variety performance and preparing conclusions and actions.
Contributing to the process of continuous improvement of the seed production process.
Organising the financial administration process including cost centre control.
