Purpose of job
To manage the delivery of a major EU-funded programme Creating Opportunities for South Africa’s Youth (COSY), as well as managing the Active Citizens programme, cascading the training for this work to our partners.
Ensure that project delivery meets the British Council’s objectives and targets, as well as funder and partner expectations.
To develop new business and products in these sectors, securing funding from appropriate sources to support the work To support other organisations, in particular LifeCoUnltd, Business Arts South Africa, and Livity Africa in their role as delivery partners
The role requirements
The successful candidate in this role will be expected to have strong skills in business development, project management, people management, planning, financial management as well as 3 years minimum education / examinations management experience and a University Degree in the relevant field.
The candidate will be based in Johannesburg for the majority of the contract and travel to other locations may be required from time to time.
Short-listing is carried out against the essential knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience as specified in the Role Profile which accompanies this.
This is a two year fixed-term contract.
