Port Elizabeth - Minimum Requirements :

  • Matric or equivalent
  • Preferably a certificate in Stock control or Warehouse Management would be advantageous
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within an operations, logistics or distribution in an environment
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in people management
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Warehousing
  • Computer literacy especially Word, Excel, Outlook and Great Plains
  • Understanding the supply chain from buying, selling to distribution (loading, routing and despatching)
  • Computer literate (Experience on Great Plains)
  • Literacy and Numeric skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to work accurately when under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • No criminal record Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Main task : plan the rounds, supervise the picking, and hash the rounds. Prepare for loading and then following the pick to load process when loading trucks
  • Manage two picking and loading teams.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as and when needed
  • Excellent Housekeeping
  • Manage the team W.R.T. productivity and time management
  • Prevent and manage shrinkage and damages
  • Facilitate implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Utilise the prescribed system (Great Plains) to draw reports
  • Manage staff and welfare of members
  • Manage the branch warehouse function
  • Be involved in stock control and inventory function, including stocktake preparation
  • Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an on-going basis
