The Person : Matric.

Matric.

Minimum 3 to 5 years' sales experience within the Catering & Hygiene industry.

FMCG exposure and added benefit.

The Job :

Developing Product Knowledge and Supplier Relationships :

Provide training for all staff with regards to new products, features and benefits of products.

Create and develop a long term plan of action and strategy for the development of the category.

Develop strong working relationships with Sales teams, Accounts, the Regional Management teams and the Regional Category Specialists.

Determine the positioning of category in the market place to maximise visibility.

Motivate and inspire Sales teams to achieve higher performance.

Provide support to sales staff with regards to C&H products.

Access relevant sources of information to identify new suppliers, products and latest trends. to maintain and improve sales and service delivery.

Understand and advance supplier partnership statuses.

Develop supplier relationships.

Stock Management :

Manage procurement between supplier and regions.

Liaise and develop strong relationships with suppliers / distributors.

Develop strong working relationships with internal procurement.

Liaise with suppliers over the return of slow moving / obsolete stock.

Run various stock reports on stock health.

Engaging with and Enabling Sales Teams :

Grow the C&H categories nationally.

Achieve national C&H sales budget.

Ensure that sales margins are maximised through retail, commercial branches, contracts and tenders.

Spend and invest time in the branches commercial and retail.

Increase sales and profitability of the category to drive sustainable growth.

Continuously monitor sales volumes of all ITS / ITH products.

Liaise with Sales Consultants on any possible leads and provide support on solutions presented.

Liaise with Sales Consultants to identify possible opportunities to call and advise customer on product selection.

Work within the framework of budget turnover and gross profit.

Engaging with Marketing

Produce national marketing promotions for both retail and commercial.

Constant involvement in creating specials and promotions to increase product and brand awareness.

Analyse data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends.

Plan and execute customer events that will drive and promote the category.

Benchmark product prices by doing market research.

Identify viable products for retail, commercial and online.

Create and maintain market awareness of C&H capability.

Constantly liaise with the Marketing department to arrange campaign and promotions.

Arrange Call Centre Blitz days.

Development of House Brand :

Identify opportunities and gaps within the current house brand offering.

Ensure house brand products are being procured from the best suppliers at the best prices.

Work with Sales and Marketing nationally and regionally to drive sales volumes on house brand products.

Train Sales teams on house brand products.

Administration :

Update and submit monthly progress reports.

Follow up on ETAs with suppliers.
