A vacancy exists for a Clinical Data Analyst based at Head Office, reporting to Group Data Analytics Manager (Southern Africa) develops and manages databases for Life Healthcare in relation to clinical trials.
The incumbent is responsible for verifying the validity of scientific experiments and data gathered, as well as ensure that processes and protocols are followed, thereby improving the quality and efficiency of care Critical Outputs Responsible, together with the Business Intelligence team, for the creation and distribution of regular reports for the management of clinical quality across the business.
Assist in improving the quality of clinical data by identifying missing data, data errors etc Responsible for the analysis of datasets / reports, including the interpretation of statistical trends and patterns of variation and implications for improvement initiatives.
Assist the Group CMO and clinical teams in investigating and reporting on adverse event trends and other clinical outcome measures on an ad-hoc basis.
Support the Group CMO with monthly and quarterly integrated (South African and International data) quality reports for presentation to the Group Executive Committee and the Board.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, life sciences, or related field. At least 4 years’ experience in data analytics / business intelligence required, preferably in a healthcare or health insurance environment.
Experience with the creation of analytic visualisation and summary dashboards. Knowledge of clinical data validation and interpretation using clinical coding schemes including DRGs.
Knowledge of SQL programming. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
