The successful candidate will assist the Team Lead in the Store Infrastructure Support Team with support of store based infrastructure.
The candidate will work in a team of engineers and take full responsibility of the MDM / EMM / UEM platforms to manage endpoint devices (laptops, mobile phones, smart devices etc) in an enterprise environment.
The Unified Endpoint Management Engineer role will be responsible and involved in the design, support and deployment of a Unified Endpoint Management solution such as VMware Workspace One or Microsoft Intune, for the management of both client systems and mobile devices.
This includes but is not limited to planning, design, implementation and management of the entire architecture, infrastructure, and application.
The UEM Engineer will work directly with different sections of IT and the business to ensure 100% adoption of all endpoints, both in and out of the office.
Essential : Grade 12
Industry Certification : MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) : Desktop Infrastructure (5-10 years)
Industry Certification : Administering and Deploying System Centre 2012 / Current Branch Configuration Manager (3-5 years)
Industry Certification : MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) : Infrastructure Engineer (3-5 years)
Extensive Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (5-10 years)
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (3-5 years)
Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (3-5 years)
Experience with Operating System Deployments (OSD) (3-5 years)
Proven history of incident response, diagnostic activities, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Action Plans, and advanced troubleshooting (3-5 years)
Experience in documenting environment and processes (3-5 years)
Must have experience in VMWare Workspace One UEM (AirWatch) and / or Microsoft Intune (3-5 years)
To assist in design and operate a Modern Workplace Infrastructure for devices for Company (UEM)
Worked with ITIL processes, incident, change and problem management, ideally together with external IT service partners
System Center Configuration Manager 2012 / Current Branch Infrastructure Design and Support Experience in a medium to large environment
Be involved with the entire lifecycle of a solution from design through implementation, deployment, and training
Troubleshoot all aspects of the UEM solution effectively and understand the product flow encompassing software distribution, patch management, operating system deployment and logging in detail
Interest in security and cloud technologies

Understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating System fundamentals and concepts
Understanding of Active Directory users and groups administration
Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and it components (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy etc) fundamentals and concepts
Understanding of Active Directory Group Policies
Understanding of common application installation types (EXE, MSI, etc.)
Understanding of SCCM sites, site roles, site component configuration : including Primary and Secondary sites, Distribution Points, Pull Distribution Points, discovery, boundaries, Application Catalog, and client policy
Understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles
Knowledge of XaaS (Anything as a Service). Understanding products, tools and technologies that vendors now deliver to users as a service over a network
Proficiency in modern desktop Operating Systems and Microsoft Suite
Scripting experience ( VBS / PowerShell / BAT), to support tasks such as WMI queries and batch changes
Strong knowledge of TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS protocols
Knowledge of standard security guidelines
Experience with standardization guidelines through imaging and configuration management
Strong knowledge of UEM / MDM / EMM Solutions like VMWare Workspace One (Airwatch) and Microsoft Intune
