Branch Supervisor My client is seeking Branch Supervisor to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. Main Purpose : The purpose of the Branch Supervisor is to deal with the daily running of the branch .
Duties and responsibilities · The Branch Supervisor is responsible for the protection of the company assets at their delegated location.
Align branch strategy to that of the greater group. · Increase sales through planned strategies and follow through. · Sign off every credit note and purchase order thus ensuring a knowledge of branch activities.
Time management to include at least 30% of time at own sales portfolio, 30% at other reps and branch customers and 30% in store for admin and store sales.
Responsible for ensuring the store is focused on a customer first philosophy and ready for business every day. · Ensuring prompt serving of customers (Assist potential customers and maintain efficient relationships with current customers).
Responsible for merchandising the floor and creating effective displays that are eye catching (cleanliness of store and display areas).
Ensure all stock is labelled and shelve talkers with updated prices are on the shelves · Ordering stock within branch stock value target (responsible for managing the levels of stock and making important decisions about controlling the stock) with assistance of other staff.
Be pro-active to identify shelf life expiring dates and send back for credit timeously. · Ongoing stock takes and inventory control, ensuring the correct quantities of the correct stock are always in stock.
Report any variances immediately to the Supply Chain Manager. · Ensure the Negative report is actioned daily · Ensure all stock transactions are done before close of business daily and filling of documentation up to date filled · Minimize shrinkage through supply chain responsibilities and procedures.
Convening team meetings and communicate / drive company strategy · Supervising external sales, technical, internal sales staff and shop assistants who face the customer as well as the back office and support staff who work behind the scenes.
Prepare reports to track performance of employees to enhance efficient evaluation. · Analyze and identify growth for all projects at work stations and ensure high quality service.
Responsible for conducting appraisals and reviewing the performance of staff. · Responsible for ensuring safety procedures are followed on the sales floor and work areas.
Training and coaching / mentoring of staff · Manage link between branch staff and head office Human Resource department regarding, leave, absenteeism, staff performance etc.
Ensuring branch admin packs to be sent to head office are prepared and delivered on time.
Grade 12 · Previous retail management experience · 3 5 years management experience · Must be strong in sales (construction / building and hardware industry) Interested and qualified candidates may forward CVs to janine mpc.
