One of our clients is looking for a Supplier Risk Manager to develop and implement strategies to mitigate against Supplier Risks.
This role leads the Supplier Risk Management function for all suppliers in the Bank, from the onboarding phase to termination.
Develop and align supplier risk management strategies with the Banks goals and objectives. Develop and implement a Risk Management Framework and Program that ensures consistency in the monitoring, identification and logging of Supplier Risk areas.
Enhance or improve existing framework design, driving toward a risk optimisation framework. Garners support for this framework.
Operationalise, monitors, and report on supplier risks at the supplier, risk type, and aggregate levels. Maintain a structured internal governance framework, to ensure effective oversight of supplier risk and procurement compliance.
Review and analyse internal data in relation, and in comparison, to business strategies, market research, and other external benchmarking to provide strategic insight, consideration of opportunities, and alignment of the supplier risk framework to the enterprise goals.
Stay informed about the latest developments in the supplier risk management field. Identify areas of potential exposure for the Bank, develop mitigation plans and partner with internal stakeholders to assign monitoring responsibility.
Support Supplier selection and contracting on major sourcing efforts and reassess the risks associated with a supplier relationship prior to the renewal of contract agreements.
Support development and execution of a robust communication and training plan to facilitate the effective application and awareness of SRM.
Provide guidance to the business, Strategic Sourcing and other stakeholders to ensure requirements of SRM are fully understood.
Work with all supplier interfacing team and review the adequacy of tools and processes to effectively detect risk areas signals across risk classes.
Serve as the subject matter expert in interpreting requirements and improve awareness of Operational Risks faced by Business from supplier failure or poor performance.
Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the function and inherent in the business. Highlight and report on high supplier risk contracts and ineffective procurement processes.
offer reasonable solutions, and assist them with efforts to come into compliance. Work with Strategic Sourcing or Legal or Business to mitigate any losses through supplier compensation achieved through establishment of robust contracts.
Bachelors Degree in Risk Management, Commerce, Finance, Legal, Audit or related field. CRMA and CISA is an added advantage.
8 years progressive experience in a Risk Management or Audit role in a similar sized organisation including 3 years experience in a procurement function.
