Why this role is critical to us

The Senior Analytical Consultant will be responsible forcarrying out descriptive and predictive analysis to develop analyticalsolutions which benefits our clients and their customers.

The role holder will engage directly withclients to understand their business requirements and will also be able tocarry out analysis independently.

The individual will also support the team toenhance their skillsets and improve the quality of modelling and statisticalsolutions.

  • Understanding of statistical techniques which may be used toaddress client business issues.
  • Understanding of the principles and applications of therelevant Business Lines analytics solutions range.
  • Extensive experience across the credit lifecycle
  • Highly PC literate.
  • Good knowledge of relevant statistical packages (e.g. SAS, SQL, Python and / or R).
  • Good knowledge of computer programming and programminglanguages
  • Knowledge of machine learning
  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency inwriting reports and presenting technical work
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train and upskill analysts within the team
  • What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and deliver top quality analytical solutions andmodels that follow best practice procedures and processes, including existingExperian / Scoresharp methodologies and techniques.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of own work and the work of anyAnalysts / Modellers on the project
  • Specify data extraction and manipulation routines forcomplex / non-standard projects, providing guidance to other Analysts / Modellerswhere necessary.
  • Carry out and lead others in the extraction, formulation andmanipulation of data to create the structured samples necessary to addressbusiness requirements.
  • Interpret and, where appropriate, supervise and train othersin the interpretation of analysis results.
  • Upskill team members to enhance their skillsets and improvethe quality of their modelling and statistical solutions
  • Ensure that all critical business issues are identifiedthrough data analysis.
  • Implement appropriate quality control procedures for allmodelling and analysis reporting and scoring.
  • Reduce error rate & re-run frequency. Meet both theanalytical, client’s & business objectives.
  • Produce the best quality models that can be produced withinthe given project timeline.
  • Analyse and confirm the integrity of source data to beevaluated.
  • Perform audits to support the implementation and accuracy ofstatistical models and other decision tools.
  • Be organized, well-document the project by using set-uptemplates or versions thereof & meet project deadlines
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to determinethe appropriate performance measures and statistical metrics to be applied duringthe analysis project
  • What is required

  • Degree or equivalent standard, with a high mathematicalcontent e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research (O.R.), Economics,Physical Sciences, Engineering, Actuarial Science.
  • 10-15 Years’ experience of statistical / analytics projectwork.
