An established manufacturing company requires the above to execute and manage HR strategies, policies and practices as well as provide operational and strategic HR support to various divisions within the company.
Minimum requirements for the role :
A Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or related social science discipline is essential.
An MBA or Masters in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
Must have at least 12 years post-qualification experience, 6 of which must have been spent in management position within the manufacturing industry.
Strong track-record in HR generalist and change management roles, must have IR experience.
Must be able to perform payroll functions.
Must have a thorough working knowledge of the South African Labour Environment and Laws.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication and administration skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Managing the HR operations and providing overall direction and guidance to assigned staff including direct supervision, leadership, coaching, training and development.
Managing employee relations, affirmative action, recruiting and employment, wage and salary administration, benefit administration and job evaluation processes.
Advising all levels of the organisation on statutory obligations.
Exercising influence and guidance to leadership teams, direct reports as well as to employees throughout the organisation.
Overseeing problem-solving, performance management, short and long-range planning as well as conflict resolutions.
Leading the facilitation of high-level management team reviews.
Controlling and managing all payroll submissions to ensure 100% compliance with legislation.
Managing all written communication processes and correspondence to all employees in a timeous and accurate manner.
Salary package is negotiable based on experience gained.
