Minimum Requirements...

  • A degree in Human Resources or Labour Law.
  • Sound knowledge of the various legislation that contributes to the B-BBEE requirements (ie Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Levies Act and B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice).
  • Experience in co-ordinating projects (gather data, establish facts and present qualitatively and quantitatively) will be an advantage.
  • Compliance with procedural fairness requirements.
  • Strong leadership capability.
  • Job relevant personal attributes

  • Provide guidance to business entities regarding the rollout of their Transformation Plan (including B-BBEE strategy and EE).
  • Provide first line labour relations consulting service to Denel Group.
  • Provide training and capacity building to management and employees to comply with policies and legislation updates.
  • Provide leadership for the development of transformation and operational plans for Denel.
  • Develop the Wage Negotiations Strategy for Denel.
  • Develop an Employee Relations and Transformation Strategy implementation process.
  • Develop a consolidated budget for Employee Relations and Transformation.
  • Develop, design and review ER and Transformation policies, processes, guidelines and performance tracking dashboard.
  • Create a fair and empowering work environment through Employee Wellness and ER Programmes.
  • Facilitate the development of Employee Relations and Transformation plans for all entities in alignment with the transformation strategy.
  • Co-ordinate the Denel Transformation Forum, B-BBEE workshops and round table discussions.
  • Centrally manage and update the B-BBEE scorecard.
  • Report yearly to the Department of Labour (DoL) on Employment Equity.
  • Advise, support and maintain good relations with entity Transformation and ER Champions.
  • Prepare detailed reports to stakeholders on transformation progress.
  • Set direction in all matters in relation to transformation, collective bargaining and corporate wide industrial relations issues.
  • Manage dispute resolution by providing expert advice on ER related issues, conduct internal investigations and ensure that all processes adhere to necessary turnaround times and procedures.
  • Attend to labour litigation ie CCMA and labour court matters.
  • Champion Employment Equity and B-BBEE.
  • Ensure full compliance with all related legislation, policies and procedures with regard to Human Capital administration and processes.
  • Drive change management in the organisation.
  • Accurate documentation and case management.
