My client in the frozen food industry is looking for a Sales / Operations Manager for their new branch in Gqeberha. This person will be responsible for the Operations and Sales of their Red Meat business.
You will also be responsible for supervising and organizing the sales team. You will be in charge of managing organizational sales by developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation.
You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitate the ongoing training of your salespeople.
Areas of Responsibility (Your duties will include but are not limited to : )Operations : Manage Distribution centres within your regionFocus on the KPI’s of Sales, Stock, Staff, Service, Cost and ComplianceManagement and Leadership of peopleEffective BudgetingCost, Asset and Stock ManagementManage Service Levels and Operational ActivitiesImplement service and capacity improvement initiatives with reduced costsSales : Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls.
Meeting planned sales goals.Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales teamCoordinating with marketing on lead generation.The ongoing training of your salespeopleDeveloping your sales team through motivation, counselling and product knowledge educationPromoting the organization and products.
Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.Are responsible for motivating and advising their reps to improve their performance, as well as hiring and training new sales representatives.
Achieve their objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analysing data on past performance, and projecting future performance.
Ensure that the sales department works cross functionally with executives from other departments. For example, they collaborate with marketing to generate new lead sources and expand the target customer base, or with product and research teams to make sure customer needs are metDeal with Key Accounts in your geographic regionManage customers within their payment termsKnowledge, skills and experience required : Fluent in English and / or AfrikaansBachelor’s degree in business or related field and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar roleExperience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
