Pinelands - Our client is looking for a newly qualified CA (SA) to join their dynamic, growing team.The primary purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the coordination of the risk and governance capabilities of the HR function / department, ensuring data integrity, completion of the manpower budget and accurate reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE : Managing the operational controls for the HR department, and being responsible for the coordination of the end to end processes and procedures of the operational control framework and permanent control planManaging the implementation and updating of HR controls between the HR Department and the companys central HR operational controls departmentPerforming gap analysis on relevant policies and procedures relative to the companys HR policies and procedures ensuring the validation regarding adaption and dispensation requestsOverseeing the updating of the companys Specific Procedures and ControlMonitoring and testing the implementation of any recommendations issued by the Internal Audit functionCo-ordinating the identification, investigation and reporting of any potential or actual historical incidents to the Operational Risk and Control departmentReviewing the testing performed of the implementation and operating effectiveness of the controls within the HR department through the validated control planExecuting the end to end manpower budget process for the Group, including senior stakeholder engagementPerforming monthly budget analysis (budget vs.

actual) and providing commentary to the Finance departmentMonthly headcount reporting to shareholders and the Finance departmentUnderstanding of payroll system (Labournet) and the flow of informationAbility to identify opportunities for automation, implement them and influence changeConverting data extracts into relevant reports and data sets as requiredVerifying salaries and Third party payments (SA and Foreign)Identifying opportunities to continuously improve the mitigation of risksPersonal Data Protection referent for HRAssisting in the execution of key governance and compensation related projectsTroubleshooting for the Department Head ensuring that ad hoc issues within the Department are resolvedExecuting on assigned Projects that support the continuous improvement and transformation of the HR DepartmentKnowledge sharing with the HR team to ensure a culture of risk identification and mitigationStaying abreast of local regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with both local and Shareholder requirementsQUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Qualified Chartered AccountantMinimum of 3 years relevant experience within Reporting, Governance or similar functionExperience in managing teamsProject co-ordination experience advantageousExperience in developing and operationalising strategiesRisk awareness with a good understanding of governance and controls
