Job Purpose To perform administrative and clerical functions including the processing and updating of information in the Nursing Services.
Key Responsibility AreasPerforms tasks and activities associated with the clerical functions at the clinic i.e. receiving clinic clients for consultation, screening telephone calls, preparing clients cards, filing and processing clinic records.
Files and processes clinic based record, maintains daily registers, e.g. immunisation and the index system etc. Sorts and records results of pathological specimens.
Orders, receives, checks and documents supplies from stores and performs stock control functions. Receives and directs clinic patients for consultation, screening patients, and gives priority to emergency cases.
Prepares and submits requisitions and orders in respect of building maintenance. Receives, checks and secures pre-packed chronic medicines issued by the Pharmacy.
Orders and issues stationery, materials and sundries - entering on stock cards and replenishing supplies. Undertakes driving duties.
Performs administrative functions i.e. word processing, maintaining an effective filing system, capturing and verifying statistical data and compiling daily records of clinic registers.
Records, processes and summarises important Occupational Health and Safety information.Essential RequirementsAn appropriate level of secondary education.
Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code B). 6 Months relevant experience. Computer Literacy.Preferred RequirementsMatric / Grade 12.
