Job Overview

The position will be based at Emalahleni and the incumbent will report to the Reliability Engineering Manager.

Perform or conduct Reliability Engineering evaluations including investigations, fundamental calculations and trials that have well defined requirements and desired outcomes.

Perform Reliability Engineering projects to develop, maintain and support components, products and / or services per market demands, as well as for continual process improvements.

Key Job Responsibilities

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

  • Perform or conduct Reliability Engineering evaluations including investigations, fundamental calculations and trials that have well defined requirements and desired outcomes
  • Perform Reliability Engineering projects to develop, maintain and support components, products and / or services per market demands, as well as for continual process improvements
  • Provide conceptual and strategic solutions to solve problems that are associated with Reliability Engineering projects or evaluations
  • Participate on and support programs for effective communication of Reliability Engineering issues to ensure compliance with global standards for design and safety of products and services, as well as engineering best practices
  • Participate in and support improvements to streamline engineering processes used to design, develop, maintain and support components, products and / or services
  • Qualifications / Requirements

    Minimum Skills and experience required

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant discipline
  • Approximately five years’ experience in mining or mining equipment industry
  • Specialised studies / training / experience in Reliability Engineering and / or Maintenance Management will be desired
  • Proficient in the use of Excel and other MS Office products
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on statistical and database management software (Excel, SQL, SAP, Meridium) will be desired
