Education / Experience1.Matric qualifications as well as Degree / Diploma in Culinary Arts / Hospitality2.Computer Knowledge / Administration Skills (MS Office, Exel, POS)3.

4+ years experience leading a kitchen team in 5* establishment with proven track record4.Valid drivers license and own transportResponsibilitiesAssure smooth operation by co-ordinating with all departmentsDirect supervising of operations within the restaurant if neededManage the kitchen staff effectively, training staff to ensure increase in quality and skill standardsBe actively involved in daily preparations to lead by exampleImplement efficient and effective SOPs, allowing all staff to follow protocol and work productivelyKeep up with cooking trends, create menus and assure successful implementation thereofControl / manage budgets and keep accurate recordsAid in achieving food cost, kitchen standards and overall objectivesResponsible for menu costing, standard recipes, limit wastage, implementing stock controls & management thereofKnowledge of Food Safety systems (HACCP) Ensuring the team has high standards of hygiene all-round and keep accurate up to date recordsExcellent cooking skills and eye for detail to ensure proper quality control from stock arrival to end result company standards to be maintained at all timesAbility to delegate, orientate employees and ensure on the job training with responsibilities Manage Staff, Prioritise & assign work, create staff roster and shifts, conduct performance reviewsStrong drive and planning skills, must be able to meet deadlines in fast-paced environmentBe a good representative for the company brandPersonal Requirementsa naturally happy, positive demeanour with strong leadership / management skillsbe organised and efficient have very strong communication skills with an approachable mannerthe ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, both personally and professionallyExcellent knowledge of all sectionsAdaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
