Logistics Controller (JB784)

Location : Laserpark, Honeydew

Hours : Working hours Mon-Fri 06 : 00 18 : 00, and every second Saturday 06 : 00 till last fleet is in.

Salary : Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience

The successful candidate will be responsible for end to end logistics supply chain in the Waste and recycling sector. Maintaining productive and cost-effective routing, as well as maintaining accurate systems and administration of Operations workflow.

Ensuring high levels of services and client relationships. Ensure fleet is optimized and maintained. Problem solving and training.

Minimum requirements :

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma in Logistics.
  • 5 year Experience in a Logistics environment, breakbulk distribution or retail supply chain.
  • Good Knowledge of Routing systems and route analysis as well as costing.
  • Computer literacy : Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Routing system, Flow, Truckmatic.
  • Tracking systems experience.
  • Excellent people skills on all levels.Well spoken.
  • Excellent customer communication : E-mail, WhatsApp and verbal.
  • Work independently. Problem solving Skills and good time management.
  • In possession of a valid drivers licence.
  • Work under extreme pressure and long hours.
  • Duties are as follow but not limited to :

  • Day to day controlling of staff and fleet.
  • Ensure all SOP, training and Toolbox talks are communicated and actioned.
  • Daily route planning and despatching of fleet.
  • Key accounts : Clean-up projects controls.
  • Day to day maintaining Fusion and Nav systems.
  • Accident and incident investigation and claim administration.
  • Day to day safe disposal documents and lead time controls.
  • Keys, Tablets, Fleet equipment and PPE controls.
  • Operations reports printed, checks and balances done. (Fusion, Nav, Tracker)
  • Effective Customer service, communication and services levels maintained at all times.
  • Ensure on going staff training on SOPs, system and Health and safety.
  • Team work : work with intercompany departments to ensure bookings, administration and equipment is maintained. (All queries to be resolved with in required time period.)
  • Continued optimization of routing and schedules.
