Group Marketing (and Sales) Manager
The purpose of this role is to develop creative marketing strategies and execute solutions that will support business growth in line with the group strategy to meet the revenue target for each financial year.
Core Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :
Develop and execute the marketing strategy and plans.
Establish marketing goals based on past performance and market forecasts.
Work within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product
and / or service.
Lead and manage the execution of marketing initiatives and programmes from start to finish.
Approve and oversee the creative development of promotional materials, website content,
advertisements, and other marketing-related projects.
Collaboration and Team Management
Collaborate with strategic partners and leverage their expertise.
Communicate with various media buyers, advertising agencies, printers, and other service providers
to help marketing projects come to fruition.
Act as a representative for the marketing department in important buyer meetings.
Build and maintain good working relationships across business entities by identifying and
addressing individual business entity needs.
Collaborate with and train teams.
Communicate the marketing strategy and gain clarity regarding the brand positioning.
Interview, hire, and train marketing team members.
Manage employee performance and mentor and develop the marketing team.
Work with the marketing team to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channels and sales teams.
Research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to inform marketing strategies.
Clearly understand who the target market is, what they want, and how to give it to them. This needs to align with the sales strategy.
Adjust marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback.
Oversee current offerings and come up with initiatives for new products and / or services. Provide in depth information to interested clients based on current offering.
Track all marketing and sales data and create detailed written reports and presentations to share with senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required :
Bachelor''''''''s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
At least 6 to 8 years of experience
A combination of marketing / advertising agency and business experience is preferred
A proven track record in knowing how to work with agencies, knowing how they operate and what they are looking for, and working with the long-term strategy of a business
