A well-established international chemical manufacturing company requires the above to be responsible for resourcing to sales, coordinating all customer lease plants’ maintenance, new customer treating plant design and supply and refurbishments of existing equipment.
Minimum requirements for the role :
N6 or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential.
Minimum 5 years’ previous work experience within a similar environment.
Previous mechanical, structural, electrical, civil and piping experience and a good understanding of multi-discipline office practice (MDOP) will be an advantage.
Computer literacy with experience in Autocad 3D or Autocad Lite as well as previous design and drawing experience is essential.
Must have a good understanding of electrical as well as health and safety systems and policies.
Must be willing to travel in Africa (Swaziland and Kenya).
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Working with contractors and suppliers to maintain company owned lease timber treatment plants and CCA bulk storage tanks.
Designs, drawings, costing, procurement, installation supervision and commissioning of customers timber treatment plants for sales department.
Providing engineering support to the Internal Operations department in terms of the design and specification of production equipment.
Managing the Internal Operations’ preventative maintenance plan.
Managing all critical spares for both customers plants and internal production equipment.
Maintenance of ISO 9000 : 2000 certifications for the businesses by ensuring compliance with processes, procedures and instructions for all activities in which this role participates.
Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
