ROLE SUMMARY :
To oversee the marketing execution of key product categories, ensuring continued consumer satisfaction, as well as growth and profitability of the brands for the Africa Cluster.
The position reports directly to the Manager, Marketing Commercialization.
Collaborating with Platform (Global Office) on globally agreed brand strategies
Leveraging new products and communication assets from Platform
Creation of local country plans and execution of those plans in collaboration with the Global Agency hubs and Sales team.
Controls and manages brand budgets
Monitor and analyse competitive activity
Manage the commercialization of new product introductions
DESIRED SKILL REQUIREMENTS / COMPETENCIES / EXPERIENCE :
Min. 6 years Marketing experience in an FMCG environment (preferably with a Multi-national company)
Nielsen knowledge or the use of any other retail syndicated data
SAP : Creating and managing A&P with PO / Trackers
Sales experience and international exposure an advantage
Ability to translate business strategy into local in-market execution
Ability to partner with the company’s agencies and leverage integrated multi-channel communication assets into execution that builds brand equity and connects with the target consumer
The ability to enrich the understanding of consumer / shopper motivations, beliefs and behaviours in order to develop marketing plans that build brand and commercial equity
Have sound business analytics to define root cause from data (market and P&L) and converting that knowledge into timely and actionable decisions
Ability to manage budgets and interpret brand financials
Strong leadership and project management skills
Ability to work under pressure
