Responsibilities :

  • The successful candidate would be required to run and manage the kitchen as well as doing orders and stocktake.
  • The candidate will also be required to maintain the hygiene standards at all times.
  • Abilities :

  • A strong personality is a must who can think on their feet, work well under pressure and be flexible at all times.
  • A well-spoken and well-presented individual.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Experienced needed

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a Sous Chef position in a 4* establishment or a luxury game lodge offering fine dining preferred.
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices
  • Must be able to create and maintain recipes / dishes
  • Must be able to adapt to dietary needs and requirements
  • Stock management including purchasing, stock take, stock rotation and related administration
  • Qualifications needed

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • A tertiary qualification from a reputable culinary training institution
  • Must have a strong general knowledge of food and kitchen procedures
  • This is a live-in position 21 days on, 7 days off.
