Minimum requirements for the role :
Previous sales experience within the food industry is essential.
Previous experience in selling or working with flavours would be advantageous.
An excellent understanding of the flavours and fragrance industry is essential.
Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
Sound ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Servicing existing customers as well as growing sales volumes and profitability.
Identifying new markets, business opportunities and establishing new accounts.
Focusing sales efforts by studying existing and potential customers sales volumes
Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information.
Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
Recommending changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Reporting on sales progress and potential as well as supporting and assisting with new product development as required.
