Minimum requirements for the role :

  • A Scientific Diploma or Degree is essential.
  • Previous sales experience selling within the cosmetic ingredient, cosmeceutical, fragrance, toiletries, pharmaceutical or detergency markets is preferred.
  • Must have good communication and numerical skills, attention to detail and be highly organised.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have good people skills.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Custodian of current business at allotted Customers.
  • Identify new potential Customers within the Cosmetic Ingredient and Dermatological sectors within the manufacturing markets.
  • Provide product training and motivate the Sales Team.
  • Assist Customers with new product development and technical support.
  • Report to Principal Suppliers regarding opportunities that have been identified.
  • Provide forecasting, budgets and costings of products and product ranges.
  • Manage stock replenishment and market price setting.
  • Effectively manage the supply chain to ensure that Customers are serviced appropriately and stock is delivered on time.
  • Ensure that existing resources are managed appropriately to optimise performance within the regions.
  • Plan and execute visits and presentations to Customers in the local region (Gauteng).
  • Travel internationally to attend trade shows and Principal Supplier visits for training and relationship development.
  • Achieve annual sales and profit plan goals.
  • Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
