The Role :

Essential functions :

  • Performing the consolidation for the entire group on Controller
  • Responsible for all group consolidation journals
  • Preparing monthly consolidated results for Group Exco
  • Preparing ad hoc consolidated, aggregated or summarized results from Controller
  • Preparing all the primary statements for the Group Financial Statements
  • Preparing various notes to the Group Financial Statements
  • Reconciling all reserves
  • Communicating with financial managers and financial directors across the group to understand what is being reported in component results
  • Ensuring IBM Cognos Controller controls are adhered to
  • Assisting FMs with IBM Cognos Controller issues
  • Updating IBM Cognos Controller for any required structural or technical changes
  • Assisting internal and external auditors with requests over assigned sections of work
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Performing requirements analysis.
  • Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Skills and Experience :

    Essential Qualification :

  • CA (SA)
  • Experience required :

  • Function related experience : Â 3-5 years post qualification experience
  • Experience in running consolidation on IBM Cognos Controller
  • Project experience : Â >
  • 3years

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and application
  • Excellent documentation skills.
