JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (SUMMARY) : Capturing of payroll on VIP.Report writing and drawing of reports on VIP.Ensure all payroll deadlines are met in order for wages to be paid as per weekly schedule.
Resolve individual pay queries with wages employee as required.Co-ordinate employee status changes between Operations and Payroll for newengagements, transfers, promotions, terminations, etc.
Apply labour policies on a daily basis with sound judgement.Advise Managers and Supervisors on interpretation of labour legislation to ensureapplication in a fair and equitable manner.
Ensure all wage employees leave forms for annual / sick / unpaid / AWOL hours areaccurately maintained on file.General administration related to wage employee personnel files.
Issuing and distributing payslips.Tax year end IRP 5 submissions as well as mid-year tax submissions.Capturing of EE and WSP / ATR details on VIP.
Ensuring payroll compliance with various collective agreement / s.Processing time, attendance and administer T&A.Data capturing.
Filing of all payroll and HR related documentation for employees on your payroll.Process terminations on payroll.Complete UIF documentation for terminations.
Create and store Backup and roll overs on VIP.Ensure accurate and on time payroll submission.Ensure accurate capture of all Operations wage employee working hours into the Timeand Attendance System, KRONOS.
Responsibility to conduct sign off on weekly wage hours on KRONOS when required.Capture wage employee Leave requests into KRONOS / VIP.
Communicate changes in clockings and attendance.Review and maintain Pay Rules and Pay Schedules in KRONOS.Grant KRONOS system access to new users and allocate correct user level.
Resolve KRONOS system related queries from other KRONOS users in the service centres.Reset passwords are required.Liaise with KRONOS service provider to troubleshoot problems as required.
Maintain and update departmental filing system which ensures documentation is easilyaccessible Grade 12VIP basic / Advance trainingBasic / Advance Excel 2-3 year work experienceMicrosoft Excel experience Understanding basic accounting principlesExperience in working with payroll processingSolid understanding of industry regulationsExperience in following ISO systems
